How we handle personal data on mdls.cz, who is responsible, and how to exercise your rights under the GDPR.
Who we are

What we collect today
mdls.cz currently processes personal data in five places. Each entry below states what is collected, why, the legal basis, and how long we keep it.
Server logs
IP address, request path, user agent, and timestamp. Used to operate and protect the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: 30 days, then rotated.
Contributors page
The page at /contributors credits people who have written or photographed for mdls.cz since 2009, using their first name and last initial plus a role label. Authorship credit is part of standard publishing practice and reflects contributors' moral rights as authors under Czech copyright law (§ 11 zák. č. 121/2000 Sb.). Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in maintaining accurate publication credit. Retention: while the credit relates to work published on mdls.cz; removed on request.
Email correspondence
Mail sent to privacy@mdls.cz is stored in our mailbox. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for general correspondence; consent or contract where applicable. Retention: as long as needed for the matter, then deleted.
User accounts
Editorial staff sign in to manage the site. We store their email, a hashed password, and activity logs. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention: while the account is active.
Cookies & analytics
None. We set no cookies and run no analytics. If that changes, this page is updated before the change goes live.
Historical archive
Since 2009, mdls.cz has published as a fashion magazine and run a directory of fashion industry contacts. We retain content from earlier editions of the publication and the directory as an internal archive. It is not published on this site.
The archive contains personal data of former contributors, models, designers, agency contacts, and people photographed for editorials and street-style features. If you have personal data in the archive and would like it removed, write to privacy@mdls.cz with enough detail for us to find your records.
Recipients & transfers
Personal data is processed on servers operated by ARODAX a.s. in the Czech Republic. We do not share it with third parties and we do not transfer it outside the EU.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@mdls.cz. We respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech supervisory authority — Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz).
